I was asked to restor this camera, it arrived in bits the front standard broken, bellows mouldy, a badly made lens board with abrass lens and a couple of brass parts missing, ther was also a separate Thornton Pickard shutter which also needed a new shuttercurtain and restoration.

The first job was restoring the front standard, re-gluing the parts and ensuring a lasting repair. Then a quick re-assembly to asses the overall condition.

Next the camera was stripped down and everything cleaned, brass work cleaned and polished before lacquering, the wood work was restored and French polishied.

The mouldy bellows were an issue, however it was possible to restore them.
