Congratulations on your interesting site which overlaps with my current project.

The galleries on the Geograph website include one for 'The Tributaries of the River Severn' with a developing series of photographs of the River Stour and the Smestow Brook. Having seen your website I will now have to rewrite or expand on some of my descriptions to reflect more of the early industrial history.

Other galleries deal with steam engines, disused railways and other themes that may be of interest.

Hi Ian,

Just thought I would leave a message here after seeing your site. I initially didn't realize it was your own website you pointed out in the link you send me, since I haven't visited it before.

I see we share a love of old buildings and industrial heritage, and that you even managed to make your work of it. You can find some slightly similar pictures on my website under "Galleries", for example the pictures of "Steam pumping station Gemaal Halfweg", or the fortresses, like "Pampus" and "Vechten".

I also appreciate the background information you have available, for example on the Stourport - Leominster Canal, interesting.

I love the industrial heritage of Britain, and studied in Bangor in North Wales in 1993, unfortunately before I really started taking photography seriously, so no real keepers from that time, and especially no B&W photography...

Brilliant concept and nicely executed. (I am a keen amateur IA'ist). Are you familar with the more recent "Geograph" site www.geograph.org.uk/- you might like to input selected photos - it has lots of IA content, register (free) and use the subject search tools, + try Chris Allen's portfolio (a personal friend, Droitwich).
With best wishes,
