Winding Cable - Himley 'No 4a' Colliery - The Corsey
    O.S. Ref   903.913

Known locally as 'The Corsey'. This colliery was linked in about 1885 to the 'Askew Bridge branch of the Great Western Railway, which connected the 'Earl of Dudley's Railways', the Kingswinford Railway & the Pensnett Railway, with the mainline GWR system.

A horse drawn tramway ran up the valley from the colliery siding to the mines at Strait's Green.
